Women's Volleyball at Mount Holyoke

SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 20-16 all-time against Mount Holyoke in a series that dates back to 1988.
•    The Beavers have won 11 straight matches, all in three sets, and have lost just once to the Lyons in 16 meetings since 2006. 

LAST MEETING
•    Senior Lulu McShane hit .778 and finished with seven kills, classmate Caroline Applewhite handed out 11 assists and sophomore Sophia Shaw led all players with 13 digs as the Beavers cruised to 25-16, 25-10, 25-11 sweep of Mount Holyoke on September 24, 2022, in Babson Park. 
•    Laura Zuloaga '23 added six kills in eight swings and sophomore Isabella Allen chipped in with five kills for Babson, which hit .329 as a team. 
•    Marianne Simon finished with seven kills and seven digs and Marion Abeja contributed 10 assists, five digs and two aces to lead the Lyons. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (15-1, 4-0 NEWMAC) has won 12 straight matches and is coming off a 3-0 sweep of Gordon on Saturday afternoon. 
•    Senior Erin Gray put away 12 kills, McShane and first-year Allison Molendyk recorded eight kills apiece and junior Tatum Stelter chipped in with 12 digs and four aces for the Beavers, who hit .341 in the victory. 
•    Gray ranks eighth in the conference in kills per set (3.07), Molendyk (3.03 k/s) is hitting .241 and junior Lauren Gips is averaging 2.44 kills per set and ranks third in the NEWMAC in hitting percentage (.390) and fourth in blocks per set (1.00). 
•    First-year Zoe Ackerman is handing out 7.24 assists per set, sophomore Roz Cabuena is averaging a team-high 4.15 digs per set and Stelter (3.08 d/s) leads the Green and White with 182 total digs and 34 service aces. 

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Mount Holyoke (8-7, 1-3 NEWMAC) snapped a two-match losing streak with a 3-1 win over Westfield State on Saturday afternoon. 
•    Sophomore Madeline Barton finished with 21 kills and 12 digs, classmate Elle Rimando put away 13 kills and first-year Katie Frank added 10 kills for the Lyons, who hit .201 as a team.
•    Barton (3.78 k/s, 3.41 d/s) ranks second in the NEWMAC in kills, Rimando (2.05 k/s) is fifth in the league with a .323 hitting percentage and junior Lucie Berclaz is contributing 1.88 kills and 3.92 digs per set. 
•    Sophomore Sadie Duffin is averaging 7.94 assists and 2.18 digs, while classmate Amelia Ringor is tied for first on the team in digs per set (3.92). 

TEN OUT OF 10
•    Senior Ruby Reich, who made her season debut after returning from injury on Saturday, served up a career-high 10 aces to go along with 12 assists and 10 digs in the Beavers' four-set win over Wheaton. 
•    The 10 service aces are the second highest total in a four-set match by a Division III player this season behind only Emily Ettien of Immaculata (N.J.), who recorded 12 aces in a win over Bryn Athyn on September 23. 

STREAKING BEAVERS
•    Babson's 12-match winning streak is the program's third longest going back to 2017 behind only last year's 16 straight wins and the 22-match run without a loss back in 2019.
•    Entering the week, the 12-match streak is tied for the fourth longest in Division III with Ramapo behind only the defending national champions Juniata (40), Wisconsin-Oshkosh (20) and La Verne (14). 

TRENDING
•    Going back to November of last year, Gips has hit .286 or better while recording at least one block in 10 consecutive matches. 
•    Stelter has at least one service ace in 11 straight outings and has recorded at least 12 digs in nine of the last 10 matches. 
•    Sophomore Lilly Steiner has at least one block in each of her last 13 appearances dating back to September 8. 
•    Gray has totaled at least six kills in all 16 matches this fall and has recorded 10 or more kills in seven of the last 10 contests. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 31-0 over the last two seasons when winning the first set.
•    Babson is 12-0 this year and 52-3 since 2021 when its opponents hit .150 or below. 
•    The Green and White is 10-0 this fall when hitting .200 or better. 
•    The Beavers are 9-1 this season away from home.
