SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 22-13 all-time against Mount Holyoke in a series that dates back to 1989.
• The Beavers have won 15 of their last 16 games against the Lyons since 2004, which includes three straight victories by at least 10 goals.
LAST MEETING
• Lexi Lenaghan '19 scored eight goals and dished out seven assists for school-record 15 points to help Babson cruise past Mount Holyoke, 20-9, on april 27, 2019, in South Hadley, Mass.
• Lenaghan had a hand in eight of the Beavers' nine first-half goals, while Georgia Salvatore '21 finished with four goals and two assists in the win.
• Abby Baldwin scored four times and Mia Wysocki contributed 10 saves and eight ground balls for the Lyons, who trailed 9-6 at halftime.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (6-5, 2-1 NEWMAC) has won three of its last four games after edging Williams, 13-12, on the road on Thursday night.
• Junior Claudia Dodge scored five goals and classmate Erin Jayne tallied four times for the Beavers, who converted 7-of-8 free-position chances and opened the game with an 8-1 spurt.
• Jayne (30-13-43) ranks first in the league in points and second in goals, Dodge (23-9-32) leads the team with 30 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers, and senior Courtney Kaskey (21-6-27) has at least one goal in four consecutive games and is second on the squad with 26 ground balls.
• First-year Clare Connolly is first on the team with 48 draw controls, sophomores Kayleigh Hacker and Genevieve Bushey both have 10 caused turnovers, and first-year goalie Kathleen Murphy owns a 12.26 goals against average and a .381 save percentage in 11 starts.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Mount Holyoke (1-6, 0-3 NEWMAC) has dropped its last five games and is coming off a 23-6 loss to Springfield last Saturday.
• Allie Brown finished with four goals and five draw controls, while Emma Legacki added a goal and two assists for the Lyons, who trailed 11-1 after the opening quarter.
• Brown (23-5-28) leads the team with 16 ground balls, 23 draw controls and eight caused turnovers, while Legacki (12-6-18) has at least one goal in four consecutive games.
• Caroline Thompson and Hannah Bisson are tied for second on the team with four caused turnovers and Emma Tower has posted a 13.14 goals against average and a .418 save percentage in seven starts.
PLAYING FROM IN FRONT
• Babson, which led 7-1 after the first quarter on Thursday night at Williams, is 5-0 this season when leading after the first quarter.
• The Beavers have outscored opponents 31-11 in the opening stanza of their six victories this spring and are averaging 9.5 first half goals in these contests.
CLOSING IN ON THE CENTURY MARK
• Thursday's night victory gave head coach Michelle Smith the 98th win of her career.
• She needs just two more to join Kully Reardon as the only head coaches in the history of the program to reach the 100-win milestone.
SCORING EFFICIENTLY
• The Beavers rank sixth in Division III in free-position percentage converting 61.3 percent of their chances and are also 21st nationally in shooting percentage scoring on 50 percent of their attempts.
• Kaskey has scored goals on a team-high 70 percent of her shots, while Jayne is shooting 51.7 percent on the year.
