SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Emerson will meet for the seventh time on Wednesday in a series that dates back to 2014, and the first time since 2019.
• The Green and White are 5-1 all-time against the Lions. Emerson's only win over the Beavers was an 8-5 verdict on April 19, 2014 in Babson Park.
LAST MEETING
• Lexi Lenaghan '19 finished with six goals and five assists for 11 points and Babson had 13 players score at least once on its way to defeating visiting Emerson, 25-4, on April 20, 2019 at MacDowell Field.
• Coco Creedon scored a career-high four goals and Georgia Salvatore '21 dished out a career-best six assists on her way to a seven-point day for the Beavers. Riley Buonagurio '19 tallied three times, Valerie Quinlan '20 contributed two goals, two assists, five ground balls and four draws, and Cricket Fligor '21 stopped five shots in the victory.
• Kelli Mark '21 finished with two goals and one assist, while Jenna Tomsky '20 had a goal to go along with two ground balls and a game-high six draw controls for the Lions. Elizabeth Fretz made five saves in goal in the loss.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (9-5, 5-1 NEWMAC) extended its winning streak to four last Saturday with a lopsided victory over Wellesley (22-5) at MacDowell Field.
• Junior Erin Jayne tallied six points, including her 100th career point, and 10 different players scored goals in the win over Wellesley. Jayne finished with two goals and four assists to push her career totals to 64 goals and 36 assists. First-year Kathryn Blake also totaled four goals and one assist, senior Courtney Kaskey scored four times, junior Claudia Dodge added three goals and two assists and classmate Anna Katherine Sypniewski chipped in with three goals and one assist in the win.
• First-year Clare Connolly also collected seven draw controls, and classmate Kathleen Murphy made four save saves between the pipes.
• Jayne (38-22-60) leads the NEWMAC in points and ranks second in goals and fourth in assists. Dodge (29-14-43) is fifth in points as well as caused turnovers (23) and ground balls (32), and Kaskey (32-8-40) is tied for sixth in goals. Connolly is second in the conference with 81 draw controls and Murphy (10.40 GAA, .395 sv. pct.) ranks third in the NEWMAC in goals against average.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (9-4, 3-3 NEWMAC) brings a two-game winning streak into Wednesday's game after a 16-4 defeat of Clark on Saturday.
• First-year Callie Krosin led the attack with a game-best five goals, while sophomore Maddy Reyes added four goals, one assist and four draw controls and classmate Lauren Longstreet contributed three goals, three assists, and three caused turnovers.
• Sophomore Marisa Drogo and junior Suha Cho also finished with three caused turnovers apiece and junior goalie Nina Khosla made nine saves to improve her record to 9-4.
• Longstreet (24-26-50) is second in the NEWMAC in both assists and points and Krosin (39-3-42) leads the conference in goals. Senior Ainsley Basic shares the NEWMAC lead with 52 ground balls and is seventh with 57 draw controls and 21 caused turnovers. Khosla (10.96 GAA, .472 sv. pct.) ranks third in the conference in save percentage.
WE GOT THIS
• The Babson women's lacrosse and field hockey teams have partnered with the Emerson women's lacrosse program to help raise money for We Got This., a non-profit created by Babson field hockey alumnus Elissa (Slovin) Kalver '09.
• Kalver, who grew up with Lions' head coach Jessie Koffman in Andover, Mass., was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer in July 2021.
A LOOK AT THE NEWMAC STANDINGS
• There's a deadlock at the top of the standings with three games remaining as Babson, Coast Guard, MIT and Springfield all have 5-1 conference records and Wheaton sits at 4-2 and Emerson at 3-3.
• Teams will be jockeying in their remaining games for higher seeds in the conference tournament, which begins on Saturday, April 30, and will include the top six teams. The top two seeds will receive a first-round bye.
BABSON IN NCAA STATS
• The Beavers are ranked third among 283 teams in Division III in free position percentage (.620) and 10th in overall shot percentage (.526).
• Dodge is ranked 19th individually in free position percentage (.737) and Jayne is 69th (.632).
BEAVER STREAKS
• Jayne has recorded at least one point in all 24 of her games dating back to the start of her career in February of 2020.
• Jayne and Dodge have both scored at least one goal in nine straight games, and Kaskey and first-year Amelia Novitch have each scored at least once in seven in a row. Jayne has seven straight multi-goal outings and multiple goals in 11 out of 14 games this spring.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson has won 21 in a row, including six this year, when holding the opponent to 10 goals or fewer, and are 31-1 since the start of 2018.
• The Green and White have won their last 33 games when leading at halftime, including eight this year, and are 36-1 when ahead at the break dating back to 2018.
• The Beavers are 9-1 this season with scoring at least 12 goals, and are 39-3 since the start of the 2018 campaign.

• The Beavers will play a key conference road game on Saturday when they visit Coast Guard for a 12 p.m. contest in New London, Conn.
• Babson winds up the regular season next Wednesday, April 27, at MacDowell Field with a 6 p.m. encounter against Smith.
