SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 26-16 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1987.
• The Beavers have won six consecutive games in the series since the Lyons won their fourth in a row against Babson with a 15-11 verdict in Norton in a NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinal game on April 26, 2016.

LAST MEETING
• Junior Erin Jayne finished with four goals and three assists and Babson built a nine-goal halftime lead en route to a 16-10 win over visiting Wheaton on April 10, 2021 at MacDowell Field.
Valerie Quinlan '21G scored four times and Georgia Salvatore '21 added two goals and three assists for the Beavers. Juliana McGuire '21 contributed a pair of goals, four draw controls and three ground balls, while Siobhan McDermott '21G chipped in with a goal, two assists and two draw controls in the victory. Sophomore Zoë Michaud tied for game-high honors with two caused turnovers and Jane Cavanaro stopped nine shots for Babson in her first collegiate start.
• Junior Jessie Kilburn led all players with five goals and nine draw controls for the Lyons. Senior Mia Murray scooped up two ground balls and forced two turnovers, while Jena Casman '21 and junior Emily Oundjian combined to make eight saves in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (7-5, 3-1 NEWMAC) has won two in a row and four out of its last five following Saturday's 18-0 whitewash of Mount Holyoke Saturday at MacDowell Field.
• Senior Courtney Kaskey and Jayne each tallied four goals and one assist and nine different players scored goals in the win, including all three seniors on Senior Day.
• Junior Claudia Dodge recorded two goals and two assists for the Beavers and senior Brooke Leveillee and first-year Kathryn Blake also scored twice each. First-year Amelia Novitch notched a goal and an assist, and senior Gwen Borning tallied her first goal of the year. The Beavers also got 10 draw controls from first-year Clare Connolly and classmate Kathleen Murphy made three saves in goal to record the shutout.
• Jayne (34-14-48) leads the NEWMAC in goals and points, while Dodge (25-11-36) and Kaskey (25-7-32) are tied for 10th in goals. Connolly is second in the conference with 66 draw controls and Dodge ranks in the top six in the conference in both caused turnovers (22) and ground balls (32). Murphy (11.39 GAA, .389 sv. pct.) ranks fourth in the NEWMAC in goals against average.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (8-4, 3-1 NEWMAC) is looking to snap a two-game skid, including a 17-9 conference setback at home last Saturday against Coast Guard.
• Junior Brooke Harvey led Wheaton with four goals and eight draw controls to go with four ground balls, while first-year Lara Finnie netted a pair of goals and added an assist. Senior Darien Webb scored a pair of goals and added four draw controls.
• Senior Mia Murray picked up five ground balls and caused three turnovers and first-year Gabriella Smart registered five ground balls and two caused turnovers. Oundjian made 13 saves for the Lyons in the loss.
• Webb (28-15-43) is second in the NEWMAC in scoring and Finnie (29-4-33) is ranked fourth in goals. Harvey tops the conference with 67 draw controls and Webb is fourth with 62. Murray leads the NEWMAC with 31 caused turnovers and Harvey (35) and Murray (33) are both in the top five in ground balls. Oundjian (10.39 GAA, .429 sv. pct.) ranks third in the NEWMAC in goals against average.

A LOOK AT THE NEWMAC STANDINGS
• Babson and Wheaton are tied with MIT for third place in the conference with 3-1 records, with four to play after Wednesday's contests.
• Coast Guard and Springfield are tied for the lead with 4-0 marks, and the other five schools are all sub-.500 in conference play.

BABSON IN NCAA STATS
• The Beavers are ranked second among 283 teams in Division III in free position percentage (.610) and 16th in overall shot percentage (.510).
• Dodge is ranked 28th individually in free position percentage (.737) and Jayne is 58th (.647).

BEAVER STREAKS
• Jayne has recorded at least one point in all 21 of her games dating back to the start of her career in February of 2020.
• Jayne and Dodge have both scored at least one goal in seven straight games. Jayne has five straight multi-goal outings and multiple goals in nine out of 12 games this spring,

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson head coach Michelle Smith recorded the 99th win of her career on Saturday against Mount Holyoke and is now just one away from joining Kully Reardon as the only head coaches in program history to reach the 100-win milestone.
• The Beavers are 6-1 this season with scoring at least four free-position goals, and are 25-4 since the start of the 2018 campaign.
• The Green and White have won their last 30 games when leading at halftime, including five this year, and are 35-1 when ahead at the break dating back to 2018.
• Babson has won 18 in a row, including three this year, when holding the opponent to 10 goals or fewer, and are 30-1 since the start of 2018.

• The Beavers return home to host Wellesley in a NEWMAC encounter Saturday at MacDowell Field, beginning at noon.
