SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Middlebury will meet for the fifth time on Sunday afternoon in a series that dates back to 2009.
• The Beavers are 1-3 all-time against the Panthers and 1-0 at MacDowell Field. The only Babson victory came on April 1, 2010 by a score of 15-13.

LAST MEETING
• Fourth-ranked Middlebury got goals from 12 different players on its way to defeating visiting Babson, 18-5, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on May 13, 2018 at Kohn Field in Middlebury, Vt.
Juliana McGuire '21 had two goals and an assist and Lexi Lenaghan '19 scored twice for the Beavers. Julia Harrigan '18 finished with two ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls, while Cricket Fligor '21 made 10 of her career-high 15 saves in the first half.
• Emma McDonagh led all players with four goals for Middlebury, Hollis Perticone scored three times and Georgia Carroll contributed two goals and two assists. Perticone also recorded a game-high six draw controls, while Kate Furber and Julia Keith combined to make seven saves in the victory.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-0) is back in action after playing just six minutes in Wednesday's home game against No. 15 Wesleyan before the contest was called off due to snow. The game will be made up on Sunday, March 27, at 1 p.m.
• First-year Amelia Novitch scored five times and Jayne finished with three goals and three assists in Babson's last complete game, a 15-5 win over Vassar last Sunday. Junior Anna Katherine Sypniewski recorded two goals and one assist, while Dodge contributed two goals, five ground balls and three caused turnovers for the Beavers.
• Junior Courtney Kaskey finished with four draw controls, sophomore Kayleigh Hacker chipped in with three caused turnovers and first-year goalie Kathleen Murphy made 10 saves in the win.
• Jayne (7-5-12) leads the team in scoring, Novitch (6-0-6) is second and Kaskey (4-1) is third along with collecting a team-high six draw controls. Dodge tops the squad with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers.
• Murphy (2-0) has made 15 saves with a NEWMAC-leading 51.6 save percentage in her first two collegiate games.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• Middlebury (2-0), ranked sixth in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III poll, is coming off a 14-6 decision Saturday at Connecticut College in New London, Conn.
• The Panthers used a nine-goal first quarter to cruise to the victory. Junior Jane Earley tied her career high for the second-straight game with five goals in the victory. Senior Lily Riseberg finished with a pair of tallies and a game-high three assists, while classmate Madeline Riordan posted three scores.
• Earley and junior Erica Barr each won three draw controls, while first-year Kylie Wilson scooped up five groundballs. Junior Annie Enrietto made three saves in goal for the Panthers.
• Earley has 10 goals in the first two games to lead the Panthers, while Riseberg has three goals and a team-high six assists.
• Middlebury did not play at all in 2021 due to the pandemic and competed in only three games (3-0) in 2020 before the rest of the season was cancelled. In their last full season, the Panthers finished 22-1 and captured their seventh national championship.

NEWMAC HONORS
• Dodge was named NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday after her performance in the win over Vassar.
• The junior midfielder scooped up five ground balls, recorded a career-high three caused turnovers and two draw controls and helped the Beavers' defense limit the Brewers to just one first-half goal.

BABSON VS. THE NESCAC
• Sunday's contest is the first of three Babson games against teams from the NESCAC this season.
• The Beavers will also face Wesleyan in the make-up game on March 27 at MacDowell Field and Williams on April 7 at Williamstown, Mass.
• Babson is looking for its first win against a NESCAC team since a 17-6 victory over Bates on March 6, 2019.

TOUGH ROAD AHEAD
• Sunday's game is also the first of three meetings this month against nationally-ranked teams.
• Middlebury is ranked No. 6 in this week's Division III poll, followed by No. 3 Ithaca next Wednesday and No. 15 Wesleyan in the make-up on March 27.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have won their last 25 games when scoring 14 or more goals, a streak that extends back to April 14, 2018.
• Babson has allowed 10 goals or fewer in each of its last 10 victories going back to 2019.

UP NEXT
• The Beavers welcome No. 3 Ithaca to MacDowell Field to wrap up a four-game homestand on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
