Morgan Almon was hired as an athletic trainer at Babson College in August 2023.
Almon comes to Babson following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass. She worked directly with the men’s and women’s soccer programs, women’s ice hockey, women’s lacrosse and cheerleading while providing care, prevention, evaluations and treatment to student-athletes for each of the Bison’s 23 teams.
A 2021 graduate of King’s College in Wilkes Barre, Pa., Almon was a four-year member of the women’s ice hockey program. She saw action in 71 games over her first three seasons for the Monarchs on defense producing one goal and three assists for four points.
In addition to her time as a student-athlete, Almon gained clinical experience while working through the College’s athletic training professional phase experience teams. She was responsible for prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries for a number of the Monarchs’ programs in addition to working at Hazelton Area High School.
A native of Warwick, R.I., Almon was a member of the King’s Sports Medicine Society and joined the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) in 2021. She will work with men’s soccer, men’s and women’s track & field and baseball at Babson.
