Kendall Elder was hired as the Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Success at Babson through an NCAA Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant in September 2022.

Elder comes to Babson from the University of Saint Joseph (Ct.), where he had served in a number of roles since September 2020. Following a year as a compliance and student-athlete development assistant, he took over as the director for student-athlete success and compliance coordinator in August 2021. Elder also was promoted to assistant athletic director for student-athlete success back in June.

As assistant athletic director, Elder was responsible for creating programming for student-athletes around leadership and study skills. He oversaw the academic success of student-athletes and was responsible for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the department. Elder also served as an advisor to the student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) and was in charge of implementing and managing multiple student-athlete services.

Prior to being promoted at Saint Joseph over the summer, Elder was responsible for overseeing NCAA compliance for 16 varsity programs and event management for the Blue Jays' home contests. He also advised student-athletes through the course selection process, created programming centered around student-athlete career development and implemented academic programming for at-risk student-athletes focused on increasing grade-point averages.

A 2017 graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala., Elder earned his master of science degree in sport management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022 and is currently pursuing his doctorate in sports leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. He was selected for the 2021 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA).
