Erin Smith

Erin Smith joined the Babson College athletics staff as an assistant strength & conditioning coach in February 2021, and was elevated to full-time assistant coach in September 2022.

A 2017 graduate of Lasell University, Smith earned her Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Merrimack College in 2020. She came to Babson after spending time as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Assumption University. During her three months with the Greyhounds, Smith wrote programs and oversaw workouts for a number of programs, including football, women’s soccer, women’s basketball and softball.

Smith also spent 2019-20 as a strength & conditioning intern at Harvard University, and she served as an intern in the strength & conditioning department at Boston College while finishing her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2017.

A two-sport athlete at Lasell, Smith started 84 of 88 games between 2013-16 and helped lead the Lasers’ women’s soccer team to four consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) titles and four NCAA Tournament appearances. She also played three years of softball (2015-17) and ranks third all-time with 45 stolen bases and eighth in program history with a .358 career batting average.
