Elizabeth Scheurich joined the Babson College sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in August 2024.
Scheurich comes to Babson following a year of immersive clinical experience working with the women’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s sailing and cheerleading squads at Boston College while earning her master’s degree from the University of New England in 2022-23. She performed evaluations and provided treatments, created rehabilitation plans and progressions for injured athletes and developed, implemented and monitored prevention strategies for at-risk athletes allowing for safe physical activity.
Additionally, Scheurich was responsible for documenting notes on new injuries and communicating injury reports to coaches during her time at Boston College.
Along with her collegiate experience, Scheurich gained more than 400 hours of experience during clinical rotations at Biddeford High School in the spring of 2022 and at Portland High School in the fall of 2021.
Scheurich, who earned her B.S. in health science in 2022 and M.S. in athletic training in 2023 from the University of New England, was a four-year member of the Nor’easters softball program. She appeared in 44 games from 2019-22 and helped the team advance to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament final as a rookie in 2019.
Scheurich, who is a native of Merrimack, N.H. has been a member of the National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) since 2020.
