Adam VanDerMolen was hired as an athletic trainer at Babson College in August 2023.
VanDerMolen comes to Babson after completing his master of science degree in athletic training at Sacred Heart University back in May. He worked directly with the Pioneers’ women’s lacrosse and rowing programs this past spring and was responsible for pre and post-practice and game treatments, on-field evaluations and managing the mental health of student-athletes.
VanDerMolen spent the back half of 2021-22 working the with Sacred Heart men’s ice hockey program providing treatment, overseeing rehabilitation and working alongside the team physician to manage injuries. He also spent last fall working with the Pioneers’ football squad where he assisted in practice preparations, collaborated with the team physical on sideline evaluations and assisted in treating over 150 student-athletes.
A 2021 graduate of Sacred Heart with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science, VanDerMolen has also provided medical coverage at the Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School in Cambridge and during the 2022 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships in Hartford, Conn. He will work directly with the Beavers’ volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s basketball and women’s lacrosse programs.
