Amber (White) Hazard is in her 11th season as the pitching coach for the Babson College softball team in 2025-26. Hazard came to Babson Park after spending the 2015 campaign as an assistant coach at Brandeis University. 

She has been a key contributor to the Beaver pitching staff, as the Beavers have earned five consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Year awards -- Brooke Stock '20 M'21 in 2021 and Moira O'Reilly '24 M'25 from 2022-25.

After helping the Beavers win 28 games in 2016, the program put together a historic 2017 campaign that included 33 victories, a NEWMAC Tournament championship, and the first NCAA Tournament Super Regional appearance in school history. The team made back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2021 and 2022, and have advanced to three consecutive NEWMAC championship games from 2023-25..

A 2014 graduate of Bridgewater State University, Hazard was a three-time MASCAC Pitcher of the Year and garnered NFCA All-America first-team honors after going 25-5 with 158 strikeouts and 0.73 earned run average in 202.2 innings pitched. She led the Bears to back-to-back conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2013 and 2014, when Bridgewater State finished 32-14 and advanced to the Division III Super Regionals. 

Hazard, who transferred from Plymouth State University following the 2011 season, went 56-18 with a 0.98 ERA, 427 strikeouts and 29 shutouts in three years with the Bears. She is Bridgewater State’s career leader in ERA and shutouts, and ranks third in wins, strikeouts and innings pitched.Â
