Brent Sitarski '22 is in his third year as the full-time assistant coach for the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs in 2025-26.
SitarskiĀ helped coach numerous Babson athletes to reach their personal goals in his first two years, including a pair of men's track & field All-Americans and a pair of runners who competed in the 2024 NCAA Division III cross country championships. He joined head coach Russ Brennan and their fellow assistants in being named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Track & Field Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024.
Sitarski returned to Babson in 2023 after serving as an assistant men's and women's cross country coach at Wheaton College and an assistant men's and women's track & field coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2022-23. While leading the throws program for the Leopards, he helped Jared Pierce earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Athlete of the Year accolades and All-America honors in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Championships.Ā
Prior to joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Sitarski served as an assistant track & field coach at both King Philip Regional High School and Burlington High School, where he helped a pair of distance runners qualify for the MIAA Divisional Championship and was part of a program that finished as the runner-up in the MIAA Division 4 Indoor Championship.Ā
Sitarski was a four-year member of both the cross country and track & field squads at Babson, and was a two-time captain for both programs. Competing primarily in the discus, hammer and javelin throws, he graduated with a school record in the hammer set at the 2022 NEWMAC Championships.Ā
Sitarski also served as Babson's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) president as an undergraduate and received the Michael and Michelle Conlon Award, which is presented to a senior athlete who demonstrates the qualities of love, care and dedication to the members of his/her own team and must have a sincere interest in athletes in general.Ā
Sitarski, who earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration, held a full-time role as a SolidWorks financial planning and analysis analyst at Dassault Systèmes after graduating in May 2022.Ā
