Amber Spencer is in her 12th season as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track & field program at Babson College in 2025-26.

A native of Wellesley, Mass., Spencer has made a major impact since joining the coaching staff. Her most recent accomplishment came in 2024 when head coach Russ Brennan, Spencer and her fellow assistants were named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Track & Field Coaching Staff of the Year.

Spencer helped Babson send its first female athlete to the NCAA Championships in 2022 when Katherine Jacobs '22 placed eighth and earned All-American in the 100 meter hurdles. Both the men's and women's programs have set new records in the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter events, in addition to earning a combined numerous all-conference honors in sprints since 2016. The men's 4x400-meter squad collected the Beavers' first NEWMAC relay title in 2017, and Angelina Raffone became the first Babson female to win the 100-meter dash at the league meet in 2018.

Spencer joined the Beavers' coaching staff after wrapping up a tremendous four-year career at fellow NEWMAC institution Wheaton College in 2014. She earned All-America honors in both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the 4x400 meter relay at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Spencer was also a six-time All-NEWMAC honoree and was twice garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic laurels.
