Babson Excess Insurance

Babson College does not pay for any medical expenses due to injuries that occur while you are a member of a Babson Varsity sport. Babson College has purchased an Excess Sport Accident Policy ("Policy") to help cover medical expenses caused by athletically related injury resulting from participation in a varsity or recognized club sport at Babson ("Babson Athletic Program" or "Program"). The goal is to prevent our student-athletes from incurring excessive expenses due to athletically related injury caused by participation in a Babson Athletic Program. An "excess" policy covers expenses that the student-athlete would otherwise be responsible for in the absence of the policy—including co-pays, deductibles, and other amounts denied by primary insurance and shown as the patient responsibility on the primary explanation of benefits (EOB). Team-sponsored injury needs to be reported within 30 days and filed by the student-athlete within 10 months of the injury. Please click here for more information
