Jen Austin (Farmington, Conn.) tallied three goals and three assists each as No. 19/14 Babson College rolled to a 21-2 victory over Framingham State University Saturday afternoon in the women's lacrosse home opener at MacDowell Field.
Babson, ranked 19th by the IWLCA and 14th by USA Lacrosse Magazine, won its home opener for the third year in a row and improved to 2-0 on season while Framingham State was playing its first game of the year and starts off at 0-1.

Estelle Gromko (Ipswich, Mass.), and first-year
Grace Rooney (Milton, Mass.) contributed one goal apiece in the win.
Laden led Babson with five draw controls and two caused turnovers, and
Bella Kehoe, Bedard and junior
Claire Jones (Sudbury, Mass.) had three ground balls each. Junior
Morgan McGahan (Ho Ho Kus, N.J.) made two saves in goal in the first 35 minutes, and first-year
Francesca Tamburini (North Bend, Wash.) stopped all three shots she faced in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore Emma Kendzulak (Windham, N.H.) and first-year Jenna James (Brewerton, N.Y.) scored goals for the visitors. Kendzulak also grabbed a team-high four draw controls, first-year Kylie Thomas (New Hartford, N.Y.) caused two turnovers and scooped up two ground balls, and junior Lindsey Cox (Dracut, Mass.) registered three ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers in the loss. Senior Bella DiMare (Wakefield, Mass.) and sophomores Allie Wurms (Shelton, Conn.) and Makayla Harvey (Coatesville, Pa.) combined for 10 saves between the pipes for the Rams.
Babson took an early lead on goals by Wong, Kehoe and Bedard in the first five minutes of the game. James scored a player-up goal to put the Rams on the board, but the Beavers answered with goals by Rooney, Austin and Wong to close out the first quarter with a 6-1 advantage.
The second quarter was all Beavers as they outscored the Rams 7-0, with all seven goals coming about a minute after the previous one. Kehoe, Wong, Caley and Sands potted goals as the lead grew to 10-1, and Bedard, Wong and Laden closed out the second-quarter scoring as Babson took a 13-1 margin into the break.
The Green and White outscored the Rams 4-1 in the third quarter on two goals by Austin and one each from Bedard and Caley, and put the finishing touches on the victory with fourth-quarter strikes by Gromko, Kehoe and two by Wong.
The Beavers will be home again on March 10 to host Skidmore at 4 p.m. at MacDowell Field. Framingham State visits Coast Guard on Monday at 6 p.m. in New London, Conn.

• Babson is 5-0 all-time against the Rams in a series that dates back to 2022.
• The Green and White are 7-1 at MacDowell Field since the beginning of last season and are 16-2 over the past three campaigns.
• Bedard has registered 17 points over her last seven games going back to last season with nine goals and eight assists.
