WHAT TO KNOW
• Two of the top programs in New England will meet for a four-game set at Govoni Field beginning on Saturday afternoon.
• Saturday's contests will count in the NEWMAC standings, while's Sunday's matchups will be considered non-conference games.

• Babson is 29-44 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1998.
• The Beavers have won 10 of their last 12 games against the Lyons dating back to 2017.

LAST MEETING
• Junior Thomas Lapham drove in five runs and Nicholas Browne '19 went 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI to help Babson defeat Wheaton, 16-7, in a NEWMAC Tournament elimination game on May 4, 2019, in Norton, Mass.
• Graduate student Matthew Valente went 4-for-6 with four runs scored and Eric Jaun '19 was 3-for-6 with a double and three runs batted in for the Beavers, who broke the game open with a seven-run fourth inning.
• Seniors George Mulcahey and Brody Ashley both had two hits and drove in a run for the Lyons, who saw every starter record a hit.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• No. 19 Wheaton (4-0, 2-0 NEWMAC) wrapped up a doubleheader sweep of Clark with a 12-1 victory back on April 3.
• Junior Zach DeMattio homered twice and finished with five RBI, while Ashley and Mulcahey drove in two runs apiece for the Lyons, who scored eight times in the top of the second inning.
• Junior Jacob Studley is batting .529 (9-for-17) with two home runs and six runs batted in, DeMattio is 9-for-18 (.500) at the plate with two homers, eight runs scored and five RBI, and junior Andrew Manni has gone 7-of-14 (.500) at the dish with a double and six RBI.
• Senior Gavin Reily (2-0) owns a 4.50 ERA and has recorded 11 strikeouts over 12.0 innings in two starts. Junior Griffin Young (1-0) struck out eight and allowed one run over 6.0 innings in his lone start, while senior Paul Prue has been dominant out of the bullpen with 10 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 8 Babson (4-0, 4-0 NEWMAC) finished off its second consecutive sweep with an 11-2 victory in game two at Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon.
• Valente doubled twice and drove in three runs and graduate student AJ DiFillipo was 4-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored for the Beavers, who finished with 13 hits.
• DiFillipo is batting .556 (10-for-18) with three doubles and six runs batted in, Valente is hitting .438 (7-for-16) with three doubles, three RBI and five runs scored, and first-year Francis Kiely is 3-for-11 (.273) at the plate with two home runs and a team-high seven RBI.
• Senior Jordy Allard (2-0) boasts a 0.60 ERA and has recorded 17 strikeouts in 15.0 innings in two starts, while junior Riley Teevens (2-0) owns a 0.87 earned run average to go along with six strikeouts in 10.1 innings.
TOUCH 'EM ALL
• Kiely hit his second home run of the season, senior Jack Ward went yard for the second time in his career, and sophomores Michael Cook and Patrick Manning both went deep for the first time in their respective careers in Saturday's 13-0 game-one win at Coast Guard last Saturday.
• The four homers were the most in a game by Babson since April 29, 2017, when it hit four in a NEWMAC Tournament victory over Wheaton.
STREAKING BEAVERS
• Valente, who was named to the NEWMAC Weekly Honor Roll on April 6, has recorded three straight multi-hit games.
• Manning has walked five times in his first four starts and has a stolen bases in each of his last three outings.
• DiFillipo is the only Babson player with a hit in all four games this season and has driven in at least one run in three straight contests.
• Junior Josh Yellen has at least one base hit in each of his three starts this spring.
CALL TO THE 'PEN
• Graduate students William Gallagher, Ben Gottesman, Michael Nocchi and Jack Theriault, senior Henry Leake and sophomore Stephen McLendon have combined to give up just one unearned run over 10.2 innings of work through four games.
• Babson's six relievers have given up just two extra-base hits while combining to record 17 strikeouts.
HOME, SWEET HOME
• Saturday's doubleheader kicks off an six-game home stand for the Beavers, who are 41-5 at Govoni Field going back to April 22, 2017.
