Men's Hoops Ends Slide With 60-47 Win Over Claremont At Lopata Classic

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Babson College men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 60-47 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College in the semifinals of the 24th annual Lopata Classic at Washington University on Friday night. With the win, the Beavers (2-4) advance to Saturday's championship game, where they will meet the host Bears at 8 p.m.

Senior Brian MacDonald led the Beavers with 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field, including a 4-for-5 clip from three-point range. Senior tri-captain Kyle McDonald also shot well, hitting 5 of 7 from the field, including all four of his attempts from beyond the arc, as he finished with 14 points and a team-high seven assists. Junior Zach Etten added 10 points for Babson, which led 32-18 at the break.
