Accomplishments: With an abundance of talent and ability, Rick Renwick is considered one of the finest baseball players ever to play at Babson. As the top pitcher and hitter in a young program, Rick was recognized as one of the best players in New England. A four-year MVP, Renwick's skills on the mound were impressive as he led the team in ERA and strikeouts. Hitting for power and average, he consistently hit over .300 and finished among the top three in runs scored and runs batted in.

Playing for Dennis-Yarmouth in the prestigious Cape Cod League, Renwick posted the league's best ERA at 1.94 in 1977. He then became the first player in Babson history to be drafted by a professional team when he was selected by the Chicago Cubs in 1979. He later led the New York Penn League with a 1.84 ERA and an impressive 8-1 record. A Midwest League All-Star in 1980, Renwick played two more seasons in professional ball before a shoulder injury ended his career in 1983.
