Accomplishments: A 1978 graduate of Babson, men's basketball star Chris Johnson remains one of the most prolific scorers in the program's history. A native of Brockton and a four-year letter winner for head coach Bill Olson, Johnson quickly established himself as one of the finest players in the region during his freshman campaign, earning Naismith All-Conference Second Team honors following his first collegiate season. That would prove to be the beginning of a magnificent career for the forward, who went on to earn Team MVP, All-ECAC, and All-New England honors in each of his final three seasons. He served as team captain during his senior season of 1977-78, after which he was named Co-Senior Athlete of the Year. At the time of his graduation, Johnson was Babson's all-time leader in both scoring and rebounding. Although both marks have since been surpassed, his incredible 1,808 career points remains the second highest total in team history, and his 19.2 points per game scoring average remains third best. He currently resides in Mequon, Wisconsin.
