SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Southern New Hampshire will meet for the first time on Tuesday in Manchester.
• While the Beavers will be playing for the fourth time this fall, the match will serve as a scrimmage for the Penmen, which officially open the 2019 season against Merrimack on Saturday.

SCOUTING THE PENMEN
• Southern New Hampshire (0-0) returns eight players from a team that went 10-13 overall and reached the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament for the first time since 2015 last season.
• Senior Irem Bat averaged team highs of 3.14 kills and 3.35 digs per set to go along with a .202 hitting percentage, while classmate Baylee Lippincott contributed 1.61 kills and 0.59 blocks per set last fall.
• Fellow senior Joanne Coffey was second on the team in assists (164) and assists per set (2.83), and sophomore Rebecca Freckleton led the squad with 62 total blocks.
• Southern New Hampshire was picked to finish fourth in the NE-10 preseason poll.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 20 Babson (3-0) wrapped up opening weekend with a 3-0 sweep of Suffolk last Saturday.
• Senior Kristin Carosotto hit .625 and finished with 11 kills, while classmate Elizabeth Cameron dished out 30 assists and added three service aces.
• Carosotto (2.83 k/s, 0.67 b/s) is hitting at a .484 clip, junior Sabrina Lechner is averaging 2.22 kills and hitting .471, and first-year Lauren MacDonald has contributed 2.20 kills per set to go along with a .474 hitting percentage over her first two matches.
• Cameron is handing out 9.00 assists per set, while sophomore Maddie Malee lead the team in digs (20) and is averaging 2.22 digs per set.

HITTING THE CENTURY MARK
• Cameron and Carosotto both played the 100th match of their respective careers on Saturday in the Beavers' sweep of Suffolk.

RARE OCCURENCE
• The Beavers will face their first NE-10 opponent since suffering a 2-0 loss to Assumption back in 1994 on Tuesday night.
• Babson went 1-3 against Division II opponents to begin the 2019 campaign when it competed at the Nova Southeast Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

SPREADING THE WEALTH
• Eight different players averaged better than 1.20 kills per set as Babson opened the season with home wins over Manhattanville, Maine-Presque Isle and Suffolk.
• Two players contributed better than 2.00 digs per set, which includes first-year Kelsey Hoff, who averaged 7.00 assists and 2.25 digs in her first two collegiate matches. 

NUMBER TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 24-5 in the month of September going back to 2017.
