NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Babson women's track & field team kicked off competition at the 2019 NEICAAA Championships with a pair of events on Friday afternoon at Southern Connecticut State University.
Senior Angelina Raffone (Westbrook, Conn.) placed second in heat four of the 100-meter dash prelims running 12.29. With the eighth fastest time in the prelims, and the second fastest time among Division III competitors, Raffone will return for tomorrow's 100-meter dash final. Stonehill senior Olivia Dexter (East Calais, Vt.) clocked the top time of the day running 12.04.
First-year Vivian Lehman (Weston, Mass.) ended her season running 1:08.38 in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles. Lehman was just one-of-nine rookies to compete in the event.
The Beavers return to action tomorrow for the final day of the NEICAAA Championships beginning at 10 a.m.
