Women's Tennis Edged by Southern New Hampshire, 6-3

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College women's tennis team wrapped up play in the Wellesley College Nor'easter Bowl with a 6-3 loss to Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday at Farwell Courts.

Babson drops to 10-6 with the loss, while Southern New Hampshire improves to 15-7 overall.

Sophomore Emily Roeper (Belle Mead, N.J.) and sophomore Alexandra Blizard (Dover, Mass.) picked up the Beavers' lone point in three closely contested doubles matches with a 9-7 win at number three. Senior Dina Weick (Woodbridge, Conn.) and junior Kylie Kam (Honolulu, Hawaii) suffered a 9-7 loss at number one, while sophomore Chloe Brandt (Denver, Colo.) and junior Claire Foster (Orange, Conn.) dropped an 8-4 decision at number two.

Foster was a 7-5, 6-2 winner at number three singles and Kam earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number five for the Green and White. Weick was defeated 6-2, 6-2 at number one, while Brandt won the first set at number two before falling 0-6, 7-5, 1-0 (13-11).

Roeper was defeated 6-1, 6-3 at number and the Penmen picked up its final point at number six where Blizard was downed 6-1, 6-2.

Babson will conclude its season at seventh-ranked Bowdoin on April 28.
