  • What I Did This Summer: Women's Swimming & Diving Rising Senior Celine Nie
    August 06, 2019
My name is Celine Nie from Irvine, Calif., and I am a rising senior on the women’s swimming and diving team. My summer has been far from home but eventful nonetheless. Right after finals I traveled to Tel Aviv, Israel to participate in the Start-Up Strategy elective abroad with other Babson athletes, Jack Lucero and Ellie Bisceglia. During this particular course, I was given the opportunity to consult for a medical device start up with the goal of entering the United States market. We traveled to Holy sites, visited over 10 companies, ate our body weight in falafel, and even participated in an (abbreviated) training with up-and-coming Israeli Defense Force members. Electives abroad have been a great way for me to fulfill my college bucket list without taking time off. After my senior year, I will have participated in three elective abroad courses and these courses are allowing me to graduate a year early.
