WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Ali Reilly (New Canaan, Conn.) was tabbed as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Reilly was superb in five appearances going 4-0 with a 0.93 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 30.0 innings pitched. She also limited opposing batters to just a .216 batting average.
Reilly struck out a season-high 10 in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Clark, and then fanned seven to record her second complete game in as many days in Wednesday's 9-1 victory at Framingham State. She blanked Wheaton over the final six innings of Friday's 6-2 win and then limited Emerson to just two runs on five hits to win her fourth straight decision in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader.
One of the league's top hurlers, Reilly is 11-2 with a 2.08 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 87.1 innings pitched this spring.
Babson (18-9, 8-4 NEWMAC) is at Tufts on Tuesday afternoon before returning to conference play with a doubleheader at Smith on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m.
