THE SETUP
Following an off day on Monday, Babson returns to action with the first of three straight days of doubleheader action on Tuesday. The Beavers take on Worcester State at Hancock Park Field #2 at 9 a.m. before facing Hope at Hancock Park Field #4 at 2 p.m.

BABSON vs. WORCESTER STATE
The Beavers will meet Worcester State for the first time in program history on Tuesday.

BABSON vs. HOPE
The Beavers are 2-0 all-time against the Flying Dutch, which includes a 15-14 eight-inning victory back in 2012.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Worcester State (1-3) has dropped three straight games after suffering a pair of one-run losses to Plymouth State (4-3) and Kalamazoo (3-2) on Monday. Junior Sydney Despres is batting .556 with a double, a home run, four walks and three RBI, while seniors Kayla Humphrey and Courtney Salisbury are both batting .417 and have combined for two doubles, three RBI and five runs scored. Classmate Mary McKeown tossed a complete-game shutout in Worcester State's season opening win over Southern Maine on Sunday, and the team owns a 3.97 ERA through four games.

SCOUTING THE FLYING DUTCH
Hope (5-1) has won three straight games after knocking off Allegheny, 7-2, and 13th-ranked Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 3-2, on Monday. Junior Hayley Reitsma is batting .471 with three doubles, a triple and six RBI, senior Sammi Adams is hitting. 389 with two extra-base hits and six runs scored, and sophomore Shay Pinhey is 7-of-19 (.368) at the plate with a double and a triple to go along with four RBI. Junior Sydney Jones is 2-0 with 22 strikeouts in 14.0 innings and has not allowed a run on the year.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson (4-2) bounced back from a pair of losses on Saturday with wins over Allegheny () and Clarkson (9-5) on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Annie Quine is batting .471 with three doubles, four RBI and six runs scored, first-year Kayla Schinik is 7-for-18 (.389) at the plate with four runs scored and senior Leslie Moore is hitting .368 with a triple and a home run to go along with a team-high seven runs batted in. Junior Ali Reilly and first-year Brooke Stock have posted a 1.88 ERA while striking out 31 batters in 41.0 innings over the Beavers' first six outings.
