    BOSTON—The Babson College softball team had a pair of players honored when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released its postseason awards on Wednesday morning. Sophomore pitcher Ali Reilly (New Canaan, Conn.) was named to the all-conference first team, while first-year catcher Annie Quine (Santa Monica, Calif.) earned a spot on the second-team.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College senior Maya Lacy (East Mill Creek, Utah) was recognized for her work in the classroom on Thursday as she was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team. Lacy, who also earned all-district honors in 2014, is now eligible for the Academic All-America team, which will be released later this month.

    WORCESTER, Mass.—The Babson College softball team blanked sixth-seeded Springfield College, 4-0, in its opening game of the day, but was unable to hold onto a three-run lead in its second elimination game of the day and was knocked out of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament with a 9-5 loss to fifth-seeded Wellesley College on Saturday afternoon at Rooftop Field.

The Beavers scored in the bottom of the seventh to edge the Warriors, 2-1, in the opener before recording a 13-7 five-inning victory in the nightcap.
