Worcester, Mass. – Visiting Babson extended its unbeaten streak to ten games with a 1-0 win over Clark University in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer action on Tuesday evening.

The win for the Beavers pushes their overall record to 10-1-1 and they are now 4-0-0 in league play, while the Cougars dip to 3-7-1, 1-2-1 in conference play.

Freshman sensation Jessica DiPhilippo (Falmouth, Maine) scored the game's lone goal in the 61st minute – her team-leading fifth marker – with help from Lauren Clement (Pittsfield, Mass.). After Clement collected a loose ball she found DiPhilippo who sent a shot low and away from Cougar keeper Audrey Eisemann (Worcester, Mass.).

Senior Erin Peete (Clinton, Mass.) had a chance to even the game for Clark less than five minutes later, but her shot from 30 yards sailed just to the right of the far post.

The game was pretty even statistically with Clark actually holding slight advantages in both shots (12-10) and corner kicks (9-6).

Lisa Wojnar (Bellaire, Texas) was excellent in between the pipes for the Beavers, turning back six shots to post her second straight shutout and her seventh of the season. Eisemann, meanwhile, made three stops for the Scarlet and White.

Babson will step out of conference on Thursday when they host Brandeis, while the Cougars play host to Smith on Friday.
