WESTWOOD, Mass.—The Babson College women's lacrosse team swept the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) weekly awards on Monday as senior Lexi Lenaghan (Hanover, Mass.) was named offensive player of the week, while sophomore Cricket Fligor (Weston, Mass.) was tabbed as the defensive player of the week.
Lenaghan had a monster week with eight goals and five assists for 13 points in a pair of games. She matched her career high with seven goals on nine shots and added two assists for nine points in a 17-6 win over No. 16 Bates on Wednesday. Lenaghan followed it up with a goal and three assists for four points to go along with four ground balls in Saturday's 10-8 loss to Endicott.
Fligor posted an 8.00 goals against average and a .515 save percentage in a pair of starts. She matched her season high with 11 saves in Wednesday's victory over the Bobcats and followed it up with six saves on Saturday against the Gulls. Fligor gave up just one free-position goal while stopping six of 12 free-position shots over two contests.
Babson (2-2), which re-entered the IWLCA Top 25 for the first time since 2011, will host 12th-ranked Wesleyan on Sunday at 2 p.m.
