Carroll, O'Halloran Named to IWLCA All-New England Berkshire Region First Team

BABSON PARK, Mass.—On the eve of the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011, Babson College had a pair of players selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-New England Berkshire Region team on Friday.

Senior Delaney Carroll (Acton, Mass.) was named to the first team for the second year in a row, while junior Charlotte O'Halloran earned a spot on the first team for the first time in her career.

One of the top defenders in program history, Carroll is the Beavers' first two-time first-team All-Berkshire selection since 2010. She has scooped up 43 ground balls and caused 36 turnovers while anchoring a defense that ranks 29th in Division III in goals against average. The 2016 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Player of the Year and a three-time all-league selection, Carroll ranks fifth in school history in both ground balls (144) and caused turnovers (94).

O'Halloran has put together one of the top offensive seasons in program history with career highs of 22 goals and 44 assists for 66 points. She now owns the program's single-season assist mark and enters the NCAA Tournament ranked 16th in Division III in total assists and 22nd in assists per game (2.44). In addition to leading the team in scoring, O'Halloran has produced at least three points in 11 consecutive games going back to April 2.

Babson will take on Johnson & Wales in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Hartford, Conn.
