Carroll Collects NEWMAC Defensive Co-Player of the Week Honors

BOSTON—Babson College senior Delaney Carroll (Acton, Mass.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Carroll scooped up seven ground balls and finished with five caused turnovers as the Beavers ran their regular season conference winning streak to 13 with a pair of victories. She had six ground balls and five caused turnovers in Wednesday's 9-8 win over Wellesley, and then picked up one ground ball and added one draw control in Saturday's 17-4 victory over Smith.

The league's reigning player of the year, Carroll leads the Green and White with 30 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers in 12 games this season.

Babson (8-4, 5-0 NEWMAC), which has won five straight games, travels to Coast Guard on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
