A native of neaby Westwood, Caitlin Irvine enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Babson field hockey and women's lacrosse programs.

A 2012 graduate of Trinity College, where she majored in American Studies, Irvine was a two-year member of the field hockey team and a four-year starter for the women's lacrosse squad. During her career, the Bantams advanced to the NCAA Tournament once in field hockey and three times in lacrosse, including the lax program's first-ever NCAA Division III Championship in 2012. Along with her team's success, Irvine was a four-time All-NESCAC selection, a four-time All-New England honoree, and a 2010 IWLCA All-American in lacrosse.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Irvine attended the National Outdoor Leadership School in Patagonia, Chile in 2010 and spent a semester in Stockholm as part of the Hamilton College Swedish Program in 2009. She also served as a Head Summer Camp Coach in both field hockey and lacrosse at Holy Cross from in 2009 and 2010, and she coached lacrosse at the Winsor Middle School in Boston in 2011.
