WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College junior Tori Roche (Andover, Mass.) was tabbed as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Roche continued her torrid pace with three goals for six points in a 1-1 week for fifth-ranked Babson. She scored in the first half of Wednesday's 3-2 OT loss to Bates and then had a goal in each stanza, including the game-winning tally, as the Beavers remained unbeaten in league play with a 7-1 win over Mount Holyoke.
A two-time NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week selection this fall, Roche has already surpassed last season's output with 14 goals and four assists for 32 points through 11 games. She is averaging 2.91 points per game, which is tied for 16th in Division III.
No. 5 Babson (8-3, 3-0 NEWMAC) returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Wellesley at 6 p.m.
