Ouimette Earns Third Straight Conference Honor, Tabbed as NEWMAC Offensive Co-Player of the Week

WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Payton Ouimette (Medfield, Mass.) was honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for the third week in a row on Monday when she was named offensive co-player of the week.

Ouimette continued her strong play by posting two double-doubles and averaging 16.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists in a 3-0 week for the Beavers. She finished with 16 points, 14 boards and four assists in Tuesday's 73-56 win over Emerson, and then had 17 points and 13 rebounds in just 22 minutes of work in an 82-53 victory over Wheaton on Thursday. Ouimette capped the week by scoring 16 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and adding nine rebounds and two dimes in Saturday's 75-62 triumph at Coast Guard.

Ouimette is averaging 15.32 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor in 31.4 minutes per game. She ranks first in rebounding, second in scoring and seventh in assists, and also leads the NEWMAC with 10 double-doubles in 15 games.

Winners of 11 straight games, Babson (13-2, 7-1 NEWMAC) returns to action on Saturday when it travels to first-place Springfield at 10 a.m.
