BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's cross country made history back in November when it placed two runners on the all-conference team for the first time since 2002 and recorded its lowest point total since 1995 at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Franklin Park.

Junior Matthew Dynan (Reading, Mass.) came in fourth for the second year in a row with a time of 25:48 on the 8k course to match the highest finish in school history by a Beavers' harrier. He also recorded the fastest time in the conference meet and at Franklin Park in the history of the program.

Joining him on the all-conference squad was senior John Decker (Parkland, Fla.), who posted a career-best time of 26:13 to come in 12th overall. His time was the third fastest on record for the Green and White at the league meet, and helped the program place two on the All-NEWMAC squad for the first time in 15 years when Chris Perry '04 came in fourth and Ben Dillon '03 placed 12th.

As a team, Babson finished fourth in the eight-team meet with 89 points. The total was seven points lower than in 2017's third-place finish at Smith, and just one off the record of 88 set during a fourth-place showing at the Constitution Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship back in 1995.
