    NEW ORLEANS—The Babson College men’s and women’s cross country teams were among 389 squads recognized for their success in the classroom with United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors on Thursday.

    WESTFIELD, Mass.—The Babson College men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2016 campaigns with a number of strong performances at the NCAA New England Championships on Saturday afternoon at Stanley Park. The men came in 16th in a 56-team field, while the women finished 45th overall.

    THE SETUP The Babson College men's and women's cross country teams will return to Stanley Park for the first time since 2014 to compete in the NCAA New England Championships on Saturday. The women will begin the day with a 6k race at 11 a.m., which will be followed by the men's 8k event at 12 p.m. The top two teams and top seven individuals from non-qualifying teams will earn automatic berths to the Division III National Championships. The NCAA will announce its 16 at-large team selections for the national meet on Sunday.
