BABSON PARK, Mass.—Following a 2018 campaign that included winning two individual events at the conference meet and combining to set nine school records, Babson College head men's and women's track & field coach Russ Brennen announced his program's 2019 schedule on Wednesday.
The Beavers open the season on March 16 when they travel to Point Loma, Calif., for the Sea Lions' Ross & Sharon Irwin Collegiate Meet. The Green and White comes back east to take part in the Bridgewater State Invitational on March 23 and will wrap up the month at Tufts' SnowFlake Classic on March 30.
Babson will send selected athletes to the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton on April 5-6 while also competing at the Coast Guard Invitational on April 6. The Beavers return to New London, Conn., to participate in Connecticut College's Silfen Invitational on April 12-13, and will again split up to compete at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational on April 19 and MIT's Sean Collier Invitational on April 20.
The postseason begins with the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships on April 27. The NCAA New England Championships are slated for May 3-4 at Williams, while the NEICAAA Championships at Southern Connecticut will follow on May 10-11. The Beavers are currently schedule for last chance meets at Swarthmore on May 13, Williams on May 15 and MIT on May 16 for individuals that are looking to qualify for the NCAA national championships.
