The Babson College men's tennis team closed out its spring break trip to Florida with another tough loss on Thursday, as the Beavers fell to Connecticut College, 8-1. As a result, Babson returns home with an overall record of 2-6. Babson's lone point came at number six singles, where first-year Zach Ringer (Minnetonka, Minn.) cruised to a dominating 6-0, 6-1 victory over the Camels' Jacob Levin. [+]
Berry College took two out of three doubles matches and then earned a split of singles play to defeat Babson College, 5-4, in a closely-contested non-conference men's tennis match in Florida on Tuesday. With the loss, the Beavers slipped to 2-5 on the season. Babson received wins from sophomore Taylor Dutton and first-year Zach Ringer at number three doubles, senior captain Ken Lin at third singles, senior captain Brian Lafayette at fourth singles, and sophomore Danny Schneider at sixth singles. Junior Justin Albert (Newton, Mass.) stepped up to the number one singles position for the Beavers (2-4), where he lost a tough battle with Stevens first-year Shota Tasaki (Greenwich, Conn.), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4).
