Levitan, Pace Collect ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete Honors

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College men's tennis first-years Dan Levitan (Winter Park, Fla.) and Dylan Pace (Atherton, Calif.) were recognized for their work in the classroom as both were named to the 2017 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Scholar Athlete team earlier this week.

Levitan finished fourth on the team with seven singles victories and won three of his five doubles matches at number three. Pace won three times in singles play and collected four more victories in doubles for the Beavers, who reached the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final for the fifth consecutive season.

To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale), and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters. Academic team honors are awarded to any program with a 3.20 GPA or higher.
