The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently released its postseason awards for the 2009-10 season, and both the Babson College men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized with CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors for the spring semester. Presented twice each year, once after each academic semester, the CSCAA Scholar All-America awards are bestowed on teams that achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. In addition to performing admirably in the pool, both the Babson men's and women's teams surpassed this mark this past spring. [+]

In the final performance of his outstanding career, Babson College senior Aaron Paradis (Norwich, Conn.) finished 17th overall in the 1-meter dive at the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota on Friday. Two days after becoming Babson's first All-American in swimming and diving since Ramon Lopez in 2000, Paradis posted a preliminary round score of 405.25 in the 1-meter dive. The score was just 2.05 points shy of qualifying for the consolation final and his second straight Honorable Mentional All-America honor, but it was good enough to place him 17th overall in the event. Babson College senior Aaron Paradis (Norwich, Conn.) competed at the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championships at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday, where he placed 11th overall in the 3-meter diving competition to earn Honorable Mention All-America status for the first time in his magnificent career. Appearing in his second NCAA Championship meet, Paradis qualified for the consolation final in the 3-meter dive by posting a preliminary score of 406.10. He then recorded a final score of 432.55 to finish third in the consolation and 11th overall - seven places higher than his previous best performance at nationals. [+]
