SERIES HISTORY
Babson and Springfield will meet for the 18th year in a row on Sunday in a series that dates back to 2001. The Beavers are 4-13 all-time against the Pride but picked up their first win the series since 2014 last winter.

LAST MEETING
Senior Mitchell Posk was part of four victories and sophomore Jack Lucero won three individual events as Babson defeated the Pride, 151-146, on January 21, 2017, in Springfield. Posk touched the wall first in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle in addition to a pair of relay events. Sophomore Alex Damiecki was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly and came in second in two other events for the Beavers.

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
Springfield (1-5) returns from the break looking to rebound from a 178-116 loss at Middlebury on December 9. Senior Kent Parsons was victorious in both the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard IM, while sophomore Sean Harnish and first-year Sean Mitchell won the 50-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle, respectively. Classmate Connor Pennington dominated both diving events, posting a first-place score of 349.65 on the 3-meter board to go along with a winning total of 329.25 on the 1-meter board.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson (4-2) won its final three dual meets of the fall semester and is coming off a combined 12th-place finish with its women's squad at the three-day Gompei Invitational in early December. Damiecki set a new program record with a time of 54.22 in the 100 IM, first-year Kevin Luu came in second in the 50-yard backstroke with the second fastest time in school history, and classmate Taras Polakoff came in eighth in the 50 back. Fellow first-year Lachlan Dibbayawan came in ninth in the 50-yard breaststroke, while Lucero placed 10th in both the 400 IM and the 1650 free for the Green and White.

START OF A BUSY STRETCH
Coming off their training trip in St. Petersburg, Fla., the Beavers will begin a run of five dual meets in 14 days on Sunday. In addition to hosting Springfield in its home opener, Babson will welcome Bentley (January 16) and Gordon (January 20) to Morse Pool over the next two weeks.

RESETTING THE BAR
Senior Jeff Cui, junior Kenneth Mun, sophomore Louis NeJame and first-year Nick Gutierrez all posted the top times of their respective careers in the 200-yard breaststroke prelims on the opening day of the Gompei Invitational back on December 1.

GETTING TO KNOW THE NEWMAC
After competing against conference foes Clark and WPI on multiple occasions during the first semester, the Green and White will take on the Pride, Coast Guard and Wheaton over the next eight days.
