Echlov Named NEWMAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year; Men and Women Garner Academic Honors
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its postseason swimming and diving awards on Friday, and for the first time since his team joined the league back in 1998-99, Babson College head coach Rick Echlov was named NEWMAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year by his peers.

The Babson College men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept both sides of a dual meet at Bridgewater State University on Thursday evening. The women's squad won by a score of 110-99 to finish up their regular season schedule with a record of 5-8, while the Beaver men prevailed, 115-61, to improve to 7-4 with one dual meet remaining.

Worcester, Mass. – Clark University’s Gabriela Jijon-Nemalceff (Quito, Ecuador) and Babson College’s Issac Breen-Franklin (Severna Park, Md.) each had impressive individual showings as the Cougar women won 136-101 and the Beaver men topped Clark 142-89 in a dual meet held on Saturday at the Kneller Athletic Center Pool.
