BABSON PARK, Mass.—After going unbeaten in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season play last fall, head coach Jon Anderson '75 announced his program's 2019 schedule on Tuesday morning. For the second year in a row the Beavers will face six teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament.
The Green and White will take on Western New England at Hartwell-Rogers Field in its season opener on August 30 before hitting the road for four straight games, beginning with a September 3 match at Southern Maine. Babson visits longtime rival Brandeis on September 7, travels to face Amherst, a 2018 national quarterfinalist, for the first time since 2003 on September 10, and will finish off the road trip in Weston against Regis on September 14.
The Beavers return home to face Williams on September 15 before opening NEWMAC play with a home date against WPI on September 21. Babson also hosts New England College in a mid-week fixture on September 25 before closing out the month at Springfield, which defeated the Green and White 1-0 in last fall's conference tournament final, on September 30.
October begins with three consecutive home games as Babson hosts Endicott on the 1st, MIT on the 5th and defending Division III national champions Tufts on the 8th. Following a trip to Boston to meet Emerson on October 12, the Beavers return to the friendly confines of Hartwell-Rogers Field for tests against Connecticut College on October 15 and Wheaton on October 19.
Three of Babson's final four games are on the road, beginning with an October 22nd match at Eastern Connecticut State. The Green and White hosts Clark in its home finale on October 26 before traveling to Bridgewater State on October 29 and Coast Guard on November 2 to close out the regular season.
The five-team NEWMAC Tournament begins with a quarterfinal match on November 5. The top two seeds will host semifinal fixtures on November 7, and the league final will be played at the highest remaining seed on November 9.
