Greenspan Earns United Soccer Coaches All-America Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C.—Babson College senior Jackson Greenspan (Meriden, N.H.) joined a long list of program greats when he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America second team on Thursday night ahead of this weekend's Division III Final Four.

Greenspan earned the 33rd All-America award in program history and the Beavers' first since 2014 after anchoring one of the nation's top defenses. The Green and White ranked 13th in Division III with a 0.55 goals against average and conceded more than one goal just twice in 19 matches. Additionally, Greenspan helped Babson record 11 shutouts, good for its most since 2006.

In addition to his defensive work, Greenspan finished second on the team with a career-high five assists, four of which came in the team's final six games. In addition to his All-America recognition, he was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Player of the Year and was both an all-conference and United Soccer Coaches All-New England first-team pick.

Greenspan played 75 career matches and started each of his final 72 for the Green and White. He scored four goals and recorded 11 assists for 19 points while helping the program make two NCAA Tournament appearance, capture one NEWMAC Tournament title and win a pair of conference regular season crowns.

Babson finished the 2018 season at 12-3-4 overall and reached the league tournament final for the first time since 2015.
