WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Noah Parker (Hampden, Maine) was chosen as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday afternoon.
Parker extended his points streak to four games with a goal apiece in road matches against No. 5/4 Tufts and Wheaton. He became just the seventh player to score on the Jumbos over the last 34 games with his first-half volley in Tuesday's 3-1 loss. On Saturday, Parker redirected a shot by first-year Ross Shellow (Miami, Fla.) into the side netting in the 84th minute to lift the Beavers to a 1-0 triumph against the Lyons.
Parker, who ranks third in the NEWMAC in assists (5) and fifth in points (13), has notched two game-winning goals and has either scored or assisted on each of Babson's last eight markers going back to September 22.
The Beavers (7-2-4, 3-0-2 NEWMAC), who clinched a spot in the upcoming conference tournament, will host Eastern Connecticut State on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
