Men's Soccer Participates in MS Walk Boston
For the second straight year the Babson College men’s soccer team participated in the MS Walk of Boston on April 1. Led by newly-elected 2012 co-captains, junior Eric Anderson (Scituate, Mass.) and sophomore Salvatore Percival (Andover, Mass.), the program took part in the five-mile walk to raise funds to help fight the devastating effects of MS and support the efforts of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The team raised $9,396, surpassing the $8,000 the program raised in 2011, and first-year Shawn Citro (Oakland, N.J.) was the group’s top fundraiser, bringing in more than $900.

Babson Honors Class of 2012 at 31st Annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet
The Babson College Athletics Department held its 31st Annual Senior Awards Banquet on Friday night where a total of eight individuals received honors. Two women’s basketball seniors, Kathleen King (Framingham, Mass.) and Nicole Wurdeman (Rowley, Mass.) were named co-winners of the Female Athlete of the Class, while men’s soccer senior Max Walker (Newton, Mass.) was named the Male Athlete of the Class.

Men's Soccer To Participate In MS Walk For Second Straight Year
For the second year in a row, the the Babson College men’s soccer team will participate in MS Walk - a five-mile walk to raise funds to help fight the devastating effects of MS and support the efforts of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - on April 1 in Boston. The team is looking to surpass last year's fantastic fundraising total of more than $8,000.

The NCAA announced on Monday that St. Lawrence University will host SUNY Oneonta, Babson College, and Rutgers University-Camden in the Sectional Semifinals and Finals of the Division III Men's Soccer Tournament this weekend. Babson College senior Salomon Guindi (Mexico City, Mexico) recorded an assist on the game-tying goal late in regulation and then made two huge saves in penalty kicks to help the Beavers advance past visiting Trinity College (CT) in a sensational second-round game of the 2011 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament at Babson’s Hartwell-Rogers Field on Sunday afternoon. The Beavers and Bantams officially finished in a 1-1 double-overtime tie, with Babson (16-2-4) winning the penalty kick round, 3-0, to move on to next weekend’s sectional play.

Babson College will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship Tournament this weekend at Hartwell-Rogers Field. Babson will face Lesley University in the opening game on Saturday morning at 11 a.m., followed by the second First-Round matchup between Trinity College (CT) and Saint Joseph's College (ME) at 1:30 p.m. The two winning teams will then meet in the Second Round on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Babson Men's Soccer 2011 Schedule Announced
The Babson College men's soccer team recently announced its 2011 schedule. The Beavers upcoming slate will feature four teams that qualified for last year's NCAA Division III Tournament, including National Semifinalist Bowdoin. Babson will open its 2011 campaign with four straight home games, beginning with Roger Williams on September 1. The Green and White will also co-host a classic tournament with Wheaton on September 3 and 4, with Babson taking on Hobart and Wentworth as part of that event.

Babson Athletics Announces Multiple Position Changes For 2011-12
The Babson College Athletics Department will introduce a number of position changes effective this summer, Director of Athletics Josh MacArthur recently announced. In addition to assigning new roles to current staff members, the department will also add a new assistant coaching position and will restructure its system of direct reports. Foremost among the changes will be the promotion of veteran Head Men's Soccer Coach and longtime Assistant AD Jon Anderson, who as of July 1 will be named Associate Director of Athletics, and current Game Management Coordinator and Assistant SID Amy Lampe, who will take on the new role of Athletics Business and Operations Manager.
