Men's Alpine Skiing Finishes Second in GS at Mount Sunapee

NEWBURY, N.H.—The Babson College men's alpine ski team had four of the top seven finishes on the individual leaderboard and came in second as a team in the giant slalom at Mount Sunapee Resort on Sunday.

Castleton swept the top three spots and locked up the MacConnell Division championship by winning its eighth consecutive race. The Beavers were just under three seconds behind them, while Clarkson came in third.

Babson's top finisher was senior MacIntyre Henderson (Park City, Utah) in fourth, who crossed the finish line with a two-run time of 1:46.34 and missed the podium by just 0.05 seconds. First-year Zach Roman (Mashpee, Mass.) was less than a half-second off his pace in fifth place, while senior Jack Blanchard (Dover, Mass.) posted a time of 1:47.09 to come in sixth.

First-year Jack Beney (Greenwich, Conn.) placed seventh with a time of 1:47.84 and classmate Liam Mooney (Manchester, Vt.) finished 12th overall. Seniors Sean Robinson (Reno, Nev.) and Eli Wolfson (Woodland Hills, Calif.) also recorded strong runs to come in 14th and 22nd, respectively.

Babson wraps up its MacConnell Division regular season schedule next Saturday and Sunday at West Mountain in Queensbury, N.Y.
