Men's Alpine Ski Takes Second in Slalom at Pat's Peak

HENNIKER, N.H.—The Babson College men's ski team grabbed three of the top five spots on the individual leaderboard on the way to finishing second in the slalom at Pat's Peak on Saturday.

The Beavers clocked in just under seven seconds behind first-place Castleton, which won its seventh consecutive race to begin the season.

In seventh place following his first run, senior Jack Blanchard (Dover, Mass.) recorded the fourth best second run among all competitors to finish third overall with a time of 1:38.80. First-year Liam Mooney (Manchester, Vt.) was just over a second behind him in fourth place and classmate Jack Beney (Greenwich, Conn.) crossed the finish line in 1:39.44 to finish in fifth position.

Senior MacIntyre Henderson (Park City, Utah) recorded the fifth fastest second run of the day to come in eighth in his season debut, while first-year Zach Roman (Mashpee, Mass.) was four spots behind him in 12th place. Senior Sean Robinson (Reno, Nev.) finished 14th overall and classmate Eli Wolfson (Woodland Hills, Calif.) rounded out the squad coming in 29th.

Babson returns to action on Sunday morning when it competes in the giant slalom at Mount Sunapee Resort.
