Holland Named NEHC Rookie of the Week

MARSHFIELD, Mass.—Babson College first-year Andrew Holland (Winchester, Mass.) was selected as the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Holland scored a pair of goals, which included one game winner, as the Beavers captured the Middlebury Holiday Classic with two wins over the weekend. He tallied the eventual game-winning goal just over four minutes into the first period in Friday's 6-1 victory over Manhattanville, and then scored on the power play early in the third period as Babson defeated Saint Michael's, 6-2, in Saturday's championship game.

Holland, who has appeared in all 13 games this winter for the Beavers, has produced six goals and two assists for eight points. He also is tied for the team lead with three power play goals and three game-winning goals.

In addition to Holland's rookie of the week honor, sophomore Matt Wiesner (Newport Beach, Calif.) was named to the NEHC Honor Roll after recording a pair of multi-point games at the Middlebury Holiday Classic.

Babson (9-3-1, 4-2-0 NEHC), which has won four straight games and is unbeaten in its last eight outings, travels to No. 6 Hobart on Friday at 7 p.m. and will visit Skidmore on Saturday at 4 p.m.
