Flynn Named to Team of the Week

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Coming off last Saturday's New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) quarterfinal win over Skidmore, sophomore Patrick Flynn (Framingham, Mass.) was named to the Team of the Week on Friday.

Flynn was joined on the team by forwards Gregg Burmaster of Utica and Clay Cross of Marian, defensemen Kyler Matthews of Canton and Cody Weaver of Worcester State, and goaltender Jimmy Poreda of Plattsburgh.

Flynn scored the game-tying goal at 16:41 of the second period and then notched the go-ahead tally at 7:10 of the third period to help the third-seeded Beavers edge the sixth-seeded Thoroughbreds, 2-1. It was the second two-goal game of the year for Flynn and marked his fourth straight outing with at least one goal dating back to February 2.

After missing the first six games of the season, Flynn has produced 11 goals and six assists for a career-high 17 points in 19 contests this winter.

No. 12 13 Babson (17-6-3) travels to No. 4/4 Norwich (19-4-3) for an NEHC Tournament semifinal on Saturday at 7 p.m. inside Kreitzberg Arena.
