Devaney Named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Following his three-point performance in Saturday's 7-3 New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Tournament quarterfinal win over UMass Boston, Babson College junior forward Rob Devaney (Reading, Mass.) was named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week on Wednesday.

Devaney was joined on the squad by forwards Kenny Neil of Oswego and Johnny Panvica of St. Thomas, defensemen Logan Day of Endicott and Cory Dunn of Adrian, and St. John's (Minn.) goaltender Tyler Nelson.

Devaney scored the eventual game-winning goal at 7:43 of the third period and then set up junior Ryan Gouveia's (Dartmouth, Mass.) shorthanded tally just over two minutes later as part of the Beavers' five-goal third period. He also tacked on a late empty net tally and finished with a +3 rating to help the Green and White advance to the conference league semifinals for the 13th time in 15 years.

Third-seeded Babson (15-8-3), which is seventh in the most recent NCAA regional rankings, travels to second-seeded New England College for an NEHC Tournament semifinal on Saturday at 7 p.m.
